INTECH PK, the special purpose vehicle of Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology, is now the member of South Poland Cleantech Cluster. Knowledge and practical experience of INTECH PK team will help Cluster to achieve its statutory objectives such as introducing new technologies and cleantech services as well as the commercialization of R+D results.

SPCleantech participates in the project SKILLS+ managed by MARR on support of SMEs in rural areas in order to exploit fully the opportunities offered by the digital single market and the benefits of the digital economy. The aim of the project SKILLS + is to develop public policies to promote ICT skills and covering exciting new business opportunities in the digital environment.

Wellcome to our new member from Finland, Rec Alkaline Oy. RecAlkaline Ltd from Nivala (FI) is planning entering Polish market very soon. The company has developed alkaline battery recycling method which has the lowest energy consumption and the highest recycling rate in the market.

On July 4th, 2016, CEO in SPCleantech, Janusz Kahl participated in a panel of experts in regional semi-finals of KICoff Competition 2016 in Kraków. KICoff Competition is the business idea aimed at promoting the entrepreneurship among young people and picking the best projects to accelerate the European sustainable energy market development.

On July 1st, 2016, South Poland Cleantech Cluster was awarded with the Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative as a matter of recognition for our engagement. SPCleantech can use this certificate and the label for a period of two years as part our marketing activities.

SPCleantech as Pre-Accelerator Point for Polish startups organizes on 27.06.2016 the third workshop “Find your customer first !!!” of the series of 6 workshops and 2 conferences. The aim of the workshop was to provide experiences of Polish and Scandinavian mentors and coaches to Polish start-ups and mentors. SPCleantech is working with a group of experienced mentors from Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

SPCleantech applied together with Bay Zoltan (H), KIC InnoEnergy/CC Poland Plus (PL), CVVI (Czech Republic), Optimizacija (Cr) and National Innovation Office (H) for funding to Central Interreg territorial cooperation instrument BOOST+ Project.

SPCleanech submitted together with Tallinn Science Park Foundation, Estonia, KIC InnoEnergy SE, Innovation Center of University of Latvia, PAKRI Science and Industrial Park, Estonia, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania, GreenTrans project application headed „Baltic framework to support the development of innovative startups in the cleantech sector, focused on technology transfer from research to business and implementation of circular economy concept“ to Interreg Baltic Sea Region program.

SPCleantech is applying for the Cluster Management Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI). Cluster management organizations that are benchmarked demonstrate their interest in striving for excellence. For being benchmarking under the ESCA benchmarking approach by one of the ESCA experts cluster management organizations are awarded with the Bronze Label of the ECEI.
