SPCleantech has implemented a strategy of action for the benefit of cluster members and partners by creating SIG – Special Interest Groups. The aim of the strategy is to integrate the activities of cluster members who are interested in a joint effort to identify key challenges, exchange knowledge and develop strategic partnerships with other cluster members or other key stakeholders to accelerate the green transformation in southern Poland. The method is to create a group within SPCleantech that has a common interest in developing a specific area of knowledge, science or technology, where members collaborate to influence or create solutions in their specific field and can communicate, meet, organize, workshops, conferences and commercialize your ideas.
The goal of SIG is to find a common topic (challenge) that is so current and attractive for a group of SPCleantech members that they will want to devote time and energy to it. After finding a sufficient number of members interested in building a coherent group, the group chooses its leader (challenge owner), who together with SPCleantech will be responsible for coordinating further work. Ultimately, each SIG must develop its own possible project idea for a business model, innovative technology or service by initiating project development processes and decide on financing the developed solutions, and finally develop an application for regional centers or EU funds to finance these activities.
SPCleantech has adequate knowledge of available sources of project funding, such as – NCBiR, PARP, Regional Operational Program, Horizon Europe, COSME, Erasmus+, etc.
South Poland Cleantech Cluster and the networks we participate in play an important role as generators of growth and innovation. In projects and consortia, SPCleantech as a cluster can play different roles depending on the type of projects and their area of interest.
Driver drives the processes and the cluster organization plays an active executive role in initiatives and projects. The cluster is responsible for creating a consortium, preparing an application for co-financing, implementing and settling the project. The cluster acts as the project manager and its secretariat, organizes Steering Committee meetings, partnership meetings and planning sessions.
Partner participates in the project creation process and may also participate as a partner in the consortium and project initiatives, but the cluster organization is not the primary and main partner in the project.
Facilitator facilitates contact between potential partners, but the cluster organization does not actively participate in ongoing initiatives / projects. Cluster members can get the help of a key-account manager from the cluster who can respond to members’ needs, organize partner meetings, match-making and networking project meetings, to create new business opportunities between members and develop new projects between and for members.
In order to participate in the projects, you must be a member of the South Poland Cleantech Cluster.
