South Poland Cleantech Cluster

SPCleantech is co-founder of European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments (ICEI Alliance) consisting of European clusters and universities. During 2020-2021 there have been held meetings to prepare the establishment of the European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments, hosted by the Circular Economy Centre at Digipolis, Kemi, Finland.

The ICEI Alliance has for ambition to make Europe the global industrial circular economy platform to accelerate the deployment of world-class circular economy solutions to industry. It acts as a pipeline of business-led circular economy investment projects. Alliance members support businesses with the structuring of their investment cases as well as with accessing funding and financing streams.

A group of VR, AR and MR companies took the first step towards the creation of the first VR, AR and MR cluster in Central and Eastern Europe by signing on 15.01.2018 at NordicHouse, the headquarters of SPCleantech a Letter of Intent. The Letter of Intent regarding the creation of the Krakow Cluster of Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality – Presence VR / AR / MR Cluster was signed by representatives of the following companies and organizations authorized to represent:

The purpose of the cluster’s creation is:

  • organization of educational and promotional events and activities
  • exchange of knowledge and experience between cluster members regarding technological, business and operational aspects as part of internal workshops or other forms of cooperation
  • building project consortia to carry out business projects that go beyond the competences of individual Parties
  • supporting the development of knowledge in the area of VR / AR / MR and assistance in shaping educational programs as part of the development of higher and upper secondary education
  • lobbying activities supporting the development of the VR / AR / MR market
  • support and implementation of research projects related to VR / AR / MR technology and support of knowledge flow between R & D units and cluster members
  • representing the Cluster through presence at industry events in the country and abroad
  • building the image of Małopolska as a leader in VR / AR / MR technology.
