Smart V4 Strategies

South Poland Cleantech Cluster participates in a newly started Visegrad project together with partners – Czech Smart City Cluster, Slovak Smart City Cluster and Digitalis Jolet nonprofit from Hungary. The project “Smart V4 Strategies” was awarded financing support from the Visegrad Fund.

The aim of the project is to connect relevant partners in the given area of SMART strategies and prepare procedures for classification of SMART strategies in V4 countries into one complex database portal. The project offers V4 partners international cooperation in unifying SMART strategies to GreenDeal/SDG rules. The vision is to strengthen the unity and effectiveness in implementation of SMART strategies in all V4 countries.

On 13.06.2019 SPCleantech participated in working group during the seminar “Areas and ways of supporting clusters under the KlastER project” organized by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. One of the main goals of the meeting was to discuss the opportunities and barriers to the development of energy clusters in Poland.

The starting point is the results of surveys conducted as part of the KlastER project, in which representatives of over 50 clusters expressed their opinions. During the seminar, the analysis of issues raised within the 1st Distributed Energy Forum was deepened. The discussion was conducted in four working groups (technical, regulatory, market and social).

During the seminar:

  • map of problems of existing and potential clusters under the project KlastER was created
  • the support for clusters under the KlastER project was proposed
  • there were proposals related to cooperation between representatives of clusters interested in participating in The project
  • working teams cooperating in four areas of issues (technical, regulatory, market and social) were initiated

The seminar was the second of a series of seminars and workshops implemented under the project “Development of distributed energy in energy clusters (KlastER)”. The organizers are the members of the consortium implementing the KlastER project – AGH University of Science and Technology, Ministry of Energy (leader of the consortium) and the National Center for Nuclear Research. The KlastER project is implemented on the basis of an agreement with the National Center for Research and Development as part of the strategic program of scientific research and development work GOSPOSTRATEG.

Among the project’s goals are, among others:

  • encouraging the development strategy of energy clusters in Poland
  • creating the Competence Network for Distributed Power Engineering as a broad cooperation platform for all stakeholders
  • development and implementation of management support solutions in reference clusters
  • publication and education activities

In the seminar representatives of energy initiatives were invited, including energy clusters coordinators and representatives of science, business, local government and non-governmental organizations interested in cooperation in the development of the distributed energy production.
