Janusz Kahl, CEO in South Poland Cleantech Cluster has been chosen by the European Commission as member of the Steering Committee for the project

„Skills for smart industrial specialization and digital transformation (SIS&DT)”

for Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission EASME / DG GROW, which has been granted to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Luxembourg.

EASME is the largest EU agency managing, among others, EU funds from the HORIZON 2020, COSME, LIFE and ERASMUS+ programs.

The main goal of the task is to work out:

EU 2030 Common Vision on High-tech skills for SIS&DT

Members of the Steering Committee are responsible for:

  • monitoring of the work and reviews of reports developed by PwC
  • meetings in Brussels with EASME and the European Commission to review progress and discuss the preparation of periodic reports, which should be approved by the Steering Committee
  • participating in teleconferences
  • providing advice and guidance during the work

REBUS – expert group

CEO in SPCleantech, Janusz Kahl participates in the expert group on energy efficiency in public buildings, set up by a member of the cluster Association Energie Cites appointed within the framework of the international project REBUS co-financed from the program INTERREG EUROPE.

The main goal of the project, whose full name is “Improving energy efficiency during the process of renovation” is to help local governments in improving the energy efficiency of public buildings by designing a model “the path to energy renovation of buildings” (ŚREB), including best practices for the planning, implementation and monitoring of restoration works carried out in buildings owned by the city / municipality, as well as engaging in the process of key stakeholders.

The aim of the expert group created under the project REBUS, is to help in the analysis of the current situation and good practices in the field of energy renovation of public buildings, as well as in developing solutions, that will improve the planning and implementation of such projects and the disbursement of aid funds for this purpose.

Członkowie grupy eksperckiej będą zaangażowani w międzyregionalną i wewnątrz-regionalną wymianę wiedzy, opinii i doświadczeń, odbywającą się między innymi w ramach regularnie organizowanych spotkań oraz za pośrednictwem komunikacji elektronicznej.

Members of the expert group will be involved in inter-regional and intra-regional exchange of knowledge, opinions and experiences, held inter alia through regularly organized meetings and through electronic communication.

The first meeting of the expert group will be held in Krakow on 26 September 2016 (Monday) and will be devoted to an analysis of the current situation in the field of energy renovation of public buildings, including identification of the most important barriers faced by local governments implementing projects in this field, and possibilities to overcome them.
