South Poland Cleantech Cluster

is a platform for cooperation between companies, universities and research and development units, local government units (municipalities, cities) and non-governmental organizations

South Poland Cleantech Clusters vision is to become a leading cleantech cluster in Central Europe and one of the most competitive clusters in the world by creating a superior innovation and research environment to bring cleantech technology and services to various sectors and value chains.

SPCleantech brings together members and partners around the following collaboration platforms:

  • intelligent, low-emission buildings / management systems / ecological building materials
  • Smart city / sustainable urban development / e-mobility
  • energy efficiency
  • smart grid, renewable energy
  • virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)
  • Big Data
  • internet of things (IoT), internet of everything (IoE)
  • bio-based economy
  • circular economy

On 08.09.2017 SPCleantech took part in another meeting of a group of companies operating within the VR and AR Platform organized in the Cracow Technology Park, KPT. During the meeting companies presented the technologies and projects that they perform for their clients and which can also be used by SPCleantech members.

SPCleantech plans to organize a workshop for cluster members in the near future to showcase Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (AR) possibilities and experiences.

VR and AR  group was joined by 2 new companies: Na Niby Studio and Head Trip.

At the meeting, further initiatives were identified:

  • meeting with representatives of the architectural and construction industry to demonstrate companies capabilities and explore their needs
  • meeting with representatives of the scientific community to identify opportunities for cooperation in the development of the VR and AR industry – here is a proposal to consider, for example, “the construction of a CAD / CAM converter into the formats that can be used in VR / AR
  • examining the options for obtaining EU funding for the “internationalization”

At present, focus groups are being set up and the leaders of these groups are selected.
