"How to negotiate with institutional investors - Venture Capital (VC)?"

Date: Wednesday, 29.11.2017 at 18.00 - ??
Location: NordicHouse, ul. św. Anny 5, Krakow

During the activity of most startups there is a moment in which the so-called bootstrapping, development based on your own financial resources becomes no longer sufficient to effectively grow your business. There is a need for external financing. The type of funding often chosen by start-ups is cooperation with one of the venture capital funds (VC). The undoubted advantages of this type of financing are primarily the development of start-ups without debt, and the ability to use the knowledge and business experience of the VC's representatives. The most serious disadvantage is partial loss of startup control. You will learn about the pros and cons of working with VC funds during our next networking meeting.

On 08.09.2017 SPCleantech took part in another meeting of a group of companies operating within the VR and AR Platform organized in the Cracow Technology Park, KPT. During the meeting companies presented the technologies and projects that they perform for their clients and which can also be used by SPCleantech members.

SPCleantech plans to organize a workshop for cluster members in the near future to showcase Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (AR) possibilities and experiences.

VR and AR  group was joined by 2 new companies: Na Niby Studio, Head Trip and Shapespark.

At the meeting, further initiatives were identified:

  • meeting with representatives of the architectural and construction industry to demonstrate companies capabilities and explore their needs
  • meeting with representatives of the scientific community to identify opportunities for cooperation in the development of the VR and AR industry – here is a proposal to consider, for example, “the construction of a CAD / CAM converter into the formats that can be used in VR / AR
  • examining the options for obtaining EU funding for the “internationalization”

At present, focus groups are being set up and the leaders of these groups are selected.
