During the activities of most start-ups, a moment arises in which the so-called bootstrapping, or basing development on own resources, is not enough for effective business development. Inability to obtain external financing and lack of own funds creates a barrier called the capital gap. A remedy for this problem may be cooperation with the Business Angels. Angel's support, however, is not just cash. It's also called smart money, or experience, a network of business contacts, managerial knowledge or know-how.

You will learn about the pros and cons of working with business angels at the next networking meeting.

Special guest:
Jacek Kubrak, business angel, investor, creator of innovative projects and technological solutions

On 23.11.2017 another meeting of a group of partners dealing with bio-economy issues took place in Krakow, Małopolska. The bio-economy is one of the key issues included in the Regional Strategy for Innovation of Małopolska, concluded within the framework of the intelligent specialization of the “Science of Life”.

Business and business-related environments have long expressed the need to define a regional strategy aimed at channeling cooperation and making effective use of regional, national and European funds for the development of this sector of the economy.

The Thematic Group meeting aimed to discuss the possibility of increasing the competitiveness of companies participating in a single value chain eg agricultural and food products. The participants set themselves the goal of encouraging action and demonstrating the potential for using the knowledge and experience to support the development of a single company.

The role of the Cluster is to foster cooperation that results in innovation, that is, new ideas and technologies implemented for practical use for the benefit of the interested. We help you find and implement solutions that build the competitiveness of your business. We help find partners, technologies and funds. We help increase the scale and go beyond traditional markets.

The main objective of the meeting was to present and discuss the prospects for the development of the bio-economy in the entire Małopolska Region and to develop a common position and conditions for the implementation of the common development strategy of this sector.
