New strategy for supporting members of SPCleantech

 |  Category: SPCleantech News

SPCleantech has implemented a new operating strategy for the benefit of cluster members and partners by creating SIG – Special Interest Groups. The aim of the new strategy is to integrate the activities of cluster members, who are interested in forming a group within SPCleantech, that has a common interest in developing a specific area of knowledge, science or technology where members collaborate to influence or create solutions in their specific field and can communicate, meet, organize workshops, conferences and commercialize their ideas.

The goal of SIG is to find a common topic that is relevant and attractive enough to the group of SPCleantech members, that they will be willing to devote their time and energy to it. After finding a sufficient number of members interested in building a coherent group, the group selects its leader who, together with SPCleantech, will be responsible for coordinating further work. Ultimately, each SIG must develop its own business model, innovative technology or service and decide on financing the developed solutions and an application for regional or EU funds to finance these activities. SPCleantech has adequate knowledge of available sources of financing for projects such as -NCBiR, Regional Operational Program, Horizon Europe, COSME, Erasmus + etc.

At the moment, the following SIGs operate within SPCleantech:

SIG – urban hub.pl
After signing the Letter of Intent with BLOXHUB in Copenhagen, DK – the leading European platform for sustainable urbanization SPCleantech joined the coalition with BLOXHUB and Munich Urban Colab in Munich, D to build the first sustainable urbanization hub in Poland, urban hub.pl.

urban hub.pl is an ecosystem for creating cities of the future, and at the same time a space to share ideas, skills and strategies for building design and urban development based on a people-centered approach and high standards of sustainable development, and a membership-based community combining urban development, architecture, design, design, construction, circular economy and digitization. SIG – Carbon Footprint
The carbon footprint is a calculation of the total greenhouse gas emissions during the full life cycle of a functional unit / entity, which may be, inter alia, company, product, service, event e.g. conference, air travel, etc., city, country, private person.

Each time you count your carbon footprint is a unique process. Each company or organization is distinguished by a unique structure, processes or specificity of activity, and calculating the carbon footprint is based on this uniqueness. It is not possible to create a universal calculator that will fit any type of business, therefore we use an individual approach to each project.

A member of the cluster, the Carbon Footprint Foundation has developed its own unique calculator for calculating the carbon footprint of enterprises and organizations. See more

SIG – ITC and XR (VR, AR and MR)
ICT and XR and the digitization process are now crucial for virtually all innovation-related processes, i.e. for research and development (searching for a concept, its development, prototyping), technology transfer in the form of purchasing it from external entities and adapting it to the needs of a given enterprise, for marketing and organizational innovation, as well as for the cooperation in the innovative process, which is currently crucial, especially for the implementation of new innovations on the market scale.

The use of ICT and XR tools is also recommended in new trends related to the innovation process, i.e. the concept of open innovation, which means the extensive cooperation of external entities with the company, as well as the use of multiple paths of introducing innovations to the market and finally integrating external and internal knowledge. SIG – BIM in the modernization of buildings
One of the main factors influencing the slow pace of modernization of buildings is the unavailability of digital models, which makes planning, costing and calculating the efficiency of works much more difficult.

BIM is a modern information management system for construction investment. Already at the design stage, a digital investment model is created, where it is possible to test various construction variants so that the entire process is the most effective and economical. This type of approach to the design and subsequent management of a building allows you to have constant control over the project and allows you to visualize various investment scenarios. Building Information Modeling (BIM) increases transparency and reduces costs and resource use. See more
