Members of SPCleantech, the initiators of the Hydrogen Valley
Members of SPCleantech, the Krakow University of Technology AGH and Columbus Energy have been the founding members of the Silesian-Małopolska Hydrogen Valley, initiated by the Industrial Development Agency, since the end of January 2022.
The goal of the Silesian-Małopolska Hydrogen Valley is, inter alia, striving to build a hydrogen industry in the region of Silesia and Małopolska based on the production of hydrogen using energy produced from renewable energy installations, and the use of hydrogen in energy, transport, infrastructure and industry.
The Hydrogen Valley in Silesia and Lesser Poland will be a flywheel for regional and national economic growth. It is a very significant event for Małopolska. The Hydrogen Valley, which will connect Silesia with Małopolska, will become a supra-regional place for launching specific projects within the hydrogen economy. These are new industry horizons and a completely new quality. Hydrogen can be widely used in energy, heating, industry and transport, which is extremely important from the perspective of Małopolska.
According to the Polish Hydrogen Strategy, hydrogen can play a key role in the process of achieving climate neutrality. The founding members of the Śląsko-Małopolska Dolina Wodorowa are companies and people associated with the business, scientific and local government communities of both regions.
The aim of the association is to support the development of the hydrogen economy and to strive to build a branch of the Silesian-Malopolska hydrogen industry, including one based on the production of hydrogen in the electrolysis process using energy produced from renewable energy installations and its use in energy, including heat, transport, infrastructure and industry.
Earlier, on November 25, 2021, Columbus Energy became a partner of the Świętokrzyskie Hydrogen Cluster Braci Łaszczyńskich, initiated by the Świętokrzyskie Mines of Mineral Raw Materials (ŚKSM).
