CURIOST: workshop “Be Circular!”, October 22, 2025

On October 22, 2025, the “Be Circular! Produce Innovative and Sustainable Products” workshop took place at NordicHouse, the headquarters of the South Poland Cleantech Cluster. It was a prelude to the CURIOST INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE project. Representatives of SMEs from the manufacturing sector who are open to implementing circular economy practices in their companies were invited to participate.

The activities of the South Poland Cleantech Cluster and the CURIOST project were presented by Janusz Kahl and Urszula Kwaśniewska. Participants were divided into small workshop groups based on their respective industries: plastics, packaging, mechanics and mechatronics, and construction, to collaborate on new solutions and business models for these industries. The workshops were conducted using Design Thinking and Nightmare Competitor tools. To maximize the potential for unconventional problem-solving, we included two Creative Heads in the project – Karol Bzdyl and Konrad Szczypczyk.

The session concluded with a presentation by Izabela Paluch, President of INTECH Krakow University of Technology, who focused on the essence of innovation, business models, and the scalability of prototypes developed by companies.

Thank you for your active participation.
