Carbon Footprint Summit 2021 in Krakow, PL

 |  Category: Events

SPCleantech participated as a partner in the new edition of Carbon Footprint Summit 2021 organized on 8-9.10.2021 at the Cracovia hall – the largest climate summit in the heart of Krakow! During two days, the event gathered many experts, activists, inventors and representatives of responsible business, who shared their experience and inspired participants to act for the climate.

On the first day of the event, the international stage featured an invited guest by SPCleantech and Foundation, Torben Klitgaard, CEO of BLOXHUB in Copenhagen, DK. Torben talked about the activities of BLOXHUB, the first and largest sustainable urbanization hub in Europe, and about cooperation with a similar hub established as part of SPCCleantech krakowurbanhub.pl in Krakow.

On the second day on the main stage, the president of SPCleantech, Janusz Kahl, presented the activities and future development plans of krakowurbanhub.pl.

The organizer of this cyclical event is the Krakow Carbon Footprint Foundation, which is a foundation dedicated to building environmental awareness of the society. It carries out its mission through educational projects and the Carbon Footprint Summit. It shares substantive content, cooperates with other non-governmental organizations and experts in various fields. He supports business in a green transformation, because he believes that it is a particularly important sector that can introduce real changes.

Carbon Footprint Summit was created out of the need for a space for free and substantive discussion between scientists and activists and the business world. Disseminating knowledge and facts about climate change – also among entrepreneurs – is crucial for introducing changes in our society. After all, companies are the engines of economic growth and wealth building. The goal of the foundation is to develop a model of a sustainable economy created by responsible business and conscious consumers, and the aim of the summit was to conduct an interdisciplinary climate dialogue between representatives of the #FACTS science, #TECH sustainable business and #IDEA social activism in order to jointly develop new solutions, establish valuable contacts and activate the society and institutions to undertake environmentally responsible actions.

Presentations and lectures were held on two main stages – in the form of an international conference and an economic and business-oriented space accompanying the Fair Job Fairs fair, where representatives of sustainable business presented their activities and new technologies.

In addition to numerous lectures, discussion panels and fair space, participants had the opportunity to participate in many activities such as education workshops on climate protection, upcycling classes, exchange of plants, clothes and many other things. They also found a relaxation area where you could sit, chat and rest, and a vege area with 100% plant-based food.
