SPCleantech, along with a cluster member, the Association of Municipalities and Districts of Małopolska, is participating in the Interreg Baltic Sea Region – Renowave project “ONE-STOP-SHOP EXTENDED MODEL TO INCREASE THE MULTI-APARTMENT BUILDING STOCK RENOVATION IN THE BSR”. The project aimed to create Poland’s first One-Stop Shop, OSS krk HubRenowacji, providing comprehensive services to owners and managers of various types of residential buildings during the thermal modernization or renovation process. Through the online platform www.mojarenowacja.pl and the Cooperation Forum, we integrate various services essential to this process, enabling effective coordination of activities and achieving optimal results.

The project RenoWave establishes cooperation among homeowners, construction companies, energy agencies and public authorities to initiate more energy-efficiency renovations in multi-apartment buildings.

 Project summary

As part of the RenoWave project, one-stop-shop agencies (OSS) will start operating in several countries of the Baltic Sea region to promote and foster the renovation of multi-apartment buildings. This service has not been available in these regions/municipalities so far. In some places, this will be even a new model for engaging with homeowners.

Considering how long and complicated the process of renovating multi-apartment buildings could be, with several periods and activities, we understand that the OSS user will not be a one-time user or visitor. The OSS visitor will use the OSS services multiple times at different building renovation stages, including consideration, decision-making, planning, financing, implementation, and experience.

Focusing on the user’s needs and the problems that the OSS could solve is essential to building a solid and long-lasting relationship with our target groups. The main result of the RenoWave project is a One-Stop-Shop Module that includes a Data Handling Methodology, a Marketing and Communication Module, a Guide for Establishing Forums, and a Technical Assistance Module. The OSS Module consists of traditional and additional OSS services that cover all the steps necessary to initiate and implement energy-efficiency renovation projects in multi-apartment buildings.

The project created the Energy One-Stop-Shop – A guide for energy efficiency in Home-Owned Multi-Apartment Buildings – Guideline for OSS service providers, which is available electronically on the project website and in print. This guide will soon be translated into Polish.

About the guide

“If you act as a one-stop-shop, plan to launch or support a one-stop-shop service for energy efficiency, this guide is for you.”

The guide includes recommendations for all necessary steps in increasing energy efficiency in building stock, focusing primary on home owned multi apartment buildings.

The Guide includes the OSS krk HubRenowacji as an example of good OSS practice and at the same time a well-functioning Cooperation Forum in southern Poland.

The Technical assistance module gives recommendations for all necessary steps for an energy renovation project.

The guide has been extended with guidelines for:

  • How to collect, analyse and set targets for the building stock
  • How to set up collaboration forums for stakeholders
  • Communication and marketing strategies

The guide is primary designed for OSS targeting Home Owned Multi Apartment Buildings, but can be as relevant for other types of buildings.

This guide is intended for those who act or want to act as a One-Stop- Shop with services that support building owners in energy efficiency. It targets also policy makers in charge of implementing the Energy efficiency building directive. Residents of multi apartment buildings can also benefit from this guide.
