South Poland Cleantech Cluster

SPCleantech is co-founder of European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments (ICEI Alliance) consisting of European clusters and universities. During 2020-2021 there have been held meetings to prepare the establishment of the European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments, hosted by the Circular Economy Centre at Digipolis, Kemi, Finland.

The ICEI Alliance has for ambition to make Europe the global industrial circular economy platform to accelerate the deployment of world-class circular economy solutions to industry. It acts as a pipeline of business-led circular economy investment projects. Alliance members support businesses with the structuring of their investment cases as well as with accessing funding and financing streams.

A long-term partner of SPCleantech – the Krakow City of Startup Foundation is looking for innovative projects from all over Poland to participate in the Krk InnoTech Starter program. KrK InnoTech Starter (KITS) is a comprehensive pre-acceleration program focused on supporting innovative business ventures.

Program participants can count on:

  • Mentoring support
  • Financial support in the amount of PLN 8,000
  • Consultations (legal, marketing, technological)
  • Investor contacts and networking support

The program is open to projects from all over Poland that develop technology in the fields of:

  • industry 4.0
  • power engineering
  • electromobility
  • fintech
  • fashion
  • life science
  • smart city

Selected projects will receive:

  • Assistance in preparing the project for investment or subsidies
  • Up to PLN 8,000 of support
  • Mentoring and consultancy by experts from an international financial institution
  • Legal consultations

Krakow as the City of Startups is one of the most dynamic startup organizations in Lesser Poland. It has existed as a non-profit foundation since 2015. Cares about the development of entrepreneurship and innovation and the condition of the Krakow startup ecosystem. Supports the academic community by providing young scientists and innovators with knowledge and business skills and enables technology transfer from Krakow universities to business. It organizes networking events, scientific and business conferences, hackathons and dozens of business trainings a year, and recruits startups at an early stage of development to the pre-acceleration program.

The Foundation believes that people are the most important part of business, so it seizes every opportunity and constantly “connects the dots” – this is the motto of the Foundation.
