Smart V4 Strategies

South Poland Cleantech Cluster participates in a newly started Visegrad project together with partners – Czech Smart City Cluster, Slovak Smart City Cluster and Digitalis Jolet nonprofit from Hungary. The project “Smart V4 Strategies” was awarded financing support from the Visegrad Fund.

The aim of the project is to connect relevant partners in the given area of SMART strategies and prepare procedures for classification of SMART strategies in V4 countries into one complex database portal. The project offers V4 partners international cooperation in unifying SMART strategies to GreenDeal/SDG rules. The vision is to strengthen the unity and effectiveness in implementation of SMART strategies in all V4 countries.

SPCleantech is co-founder of European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments (ICEI Alliance) consisting of European clusters and universities. During 2020-2021 there have been held meetings to prepare the establishment of the European Alliance for Cross- Industrial Circular Economy Investments, hosted by the Circular Economy Centre at Digipolis, Kemi, Finland.

The ICEI Alliance has for ambition to make Europe the global industrial circular economy platform to accelerate the deployment of world-class circular economy solutions to industry. It acts as a pipeline of business-led circular economy investment projects. Alliance members support businesses with the structuring of their investment cases as well as with accessing funding and financing streams.

3rd edition of the Carbon Footprint Summit

On October 7 and 8, 2022, a member of SPCleantech, Carbon Footprint Foundation, is organizing the 3rd edition of the Carbon Footprint Summit at Hala Cracovia in Krakow. The theme of this year’s event, whose partner is SPCleantech, is sustainable development and responsible business.

The conference, exhibition and workshop part is waiting for the participants. The program of the event, organized by the Carbon Footprint Foundation, includes, among others International Conference in the field of ESG (environment, corporate social responsibility and corporate governance), presentation of companies in the area of ​​sustainable development, Fair Job Fairs, Hackathon EcoTech, as well as two premieres: the proprietary trademark for products and services – Carbon Footprint Approved and the Report Foundation.

The Carbon Footprint Summit offer is addressed to representatives of responsible business: management staff, CSR, HR, PR and marketing specialists; representatives of NGOs, journalists and people working in the media, representatives of public administration, students and everyone interested in activities for sustainable development.

For those who want to learn about the latest trends in ESG, a conference part and three thematic blocks have been prepared: #FACTS, #TECH and #IDEA. The substantive support of the conference will be provided by experts from the world of business, science and media as well as representatives of partners of the 3rd edition of Carbon Footprint Summit: Columbus Energy, Saule Research Institute, Fakro and AMS.

The conference part will start with the premiere of the Carbon Footprint Foundation Report: “What Polish women and Poles know about the carbon footprint”, presenting the results of annual research on public awareness of the carbon footprint and ESG. Later, there will be lectures by experts and interdisciplinary discussion panels on the following topics:

“Green economy or ESG in business”,
“From technology to economy”, energy independence of enterprises, security, legislative changes
“Organization in balance – employee and climate well-being, personal branding.
The “Świat OZE” portal, media patron of the 3rd edition of Carbon Footprint Summit 2022 is the originator of the panel for journalists entitled How to talk about climate change in the media? The role of journalists in the discussion of environmental and climate problems ”, which will be held at the end of the conference.

At the same time, it will be possible to participate in ESG workshops for business, including carbon footprint analysis. The Carbon Footprint Foundation’s proprietary tool for calculating emissions – the carbon footprint calculator will be presented. The conference will end with the presentation of statuettes in the Carbon Footprint Summit Awards 2022 competition in 5 categories: Technological Innovation, Promoter of Science and Knowledge, Eco Influencer of the Year, Green Commune and Responsible Employer.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the organizers in cooperation with, inter alia, with the City of Krakow, IOŚ-PIB, Responsible Business Forum, the CSR Info portal, the Krakow City of Startups Foundation, Krakow Technology Park, the NGO portal, the Parents for Climate initiative, the Buy Responsibly Foundation, Roślinnie Jemy or Food Fakty; prepared specially organized ZONES: workshop, author’s, welfare, children, student (city game), electromobility, slow fashion and others.

The second day will close with a concert organized as part of the Carbon Footprint Foundation project for the music and creative industry – “Green Score”, whose ambassador is Misia Furtak – composer, author, singer and bassist, and the producer is Ula Nowak – journalist and music producer ..

The motto of the 3rd edition of the Carbon Footprint Summit is BALANCE.

Admission to the event is free.

The event will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8, 2022 at Hala Cracovia in Krakow, from 9: 00-17: 00. Admission and participation, except for the ESG workshops and the Welfare Zones, are free. Registration for the event through the application form available on the event website.
