South Poland Cleantech Cluster

Janusz Kahl, CEO in South Poland Cleantech Cluster has been chosen by the European Commission as member of the Steering Committee for the project

„Skills for smart industrial specialization and digital transformation (SIS&DT)”

for Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission EASME / DG GROW, which has been granted to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Luxembourg.

EASME is the largest EU agency managing, among others, EU funds from the HORIZON 2020, COSME, LIFE and ERASMUS+ programs.

The main goal of the task is to work out:

EU 2030 Common Vision on High-tech skills for SIS&DT

Members of the Steering Committee are responsible for:

  • monitoring of the work and reviews of reports developed by PwC
  • meetings in Brussels with EASME and the European Commission to review progress and discuss the preparation of periodic reports, which should be approved by the Steering Committee
  • participating in teleconferences
  • providing advice and guidance during the work

GREENTECH CHALLANGE in BLOX

SPCleantech´s employee in Copenhagen (DK), Martin participated in one weeks (24-30.10. 2018) GREENTECH CHALLENGE held in BLOXHUB in Copenhagen, full with amazing energy, green sustainable ideas and motivated participants. SPCleantech is member of BLOXHUB and from January 2019 will have a dedicated desk in BLOX, one of Copenhagens´s major urban development projects and a new center for Smart City, smart architecture and digital transformation in Europe.

The main reason for SPCleantech to become a member of BLOXHUB with a full time represebtative was to participate in one of the most innovative environments in Europe and create new possibilities for SPCleantechs member companies and institutions becomming more innovative and to create new business opportunities for them in Scandinavia.

GREEN CHALLENGE makes green business good business. The event ensures green growth and innovation by shortening the road to success for green SMEs. By doing that they ensure that we as a society will continue to get new technologies that improve our lives and the life of our planet. SPCleantech will in the future cooperate with organizers of te event in Copenhagen and try to bring the event to Krakow.

The event helps the best green SMEs by:

  • training them in essential business skills
  • facilitating their product development and scaling through partner – and mentorships with industry key players
  • connecting the SMEs to risk capital
