Janusz Kahl, CEO in South Poland Cleantech Cluster has been chosen by the European Commission as member of the Steering Committee for the project

„Skills for smart industrial specialization and digital transformation (SIS&DT)”

for Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) acting under the powers delegated by the European Commission EASME / DG GROW, which has been granted to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Luxembourg.

EASME is the largest EU agency managing, among others, EU funds from the HORIZON 2020, COSME, LIFE and ERASMUS+ programs.

The main goal of the task is to work out:

EU 2030 Common Vision on High-tech skills for SIS&DT

Members of the Steering Committee are responsible for:

  • monitoring of the work and reviews of reports developed by PwC
  • meetings in Brussels with EASME and the European Commission to review progress and discuss the preparation of periodic reports, which should be approved by the Steering Committee
  • participating in teleconferences
  • providing advice and guidance during the work

EU Funds 2014-2020 for businesses

On March 15, 2017 SPCleantech participated in the workshop “EU Funds 2014-2020 for companies – chances, opportunities, and ways how to get them.” To the workshops were invited entrepreneurs who are interested in knowledge of the principles of support and funding for the 2014-2020 period and seek detailed information in this respect or have an idea for a project and are interested in preparing the proposal on the possible scope of FE.

During the workshop, participants learned about:

  • innovation and the possibilities of cooperation between science and business in the context of the European Funds
  • the possibilities of European Funds in selected enterprises of business
  • planning and implementation of selected types of projects
  • current competitions – financial support for the development of selected economic activities within the European Funds

After the workshop, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to consult their ideas individually with the coaches.

The workshop was hosted by Margaret Janczarek and Margaret Jóźwik.

09.00 – 9.30   Introduction to the concept of innovation in the light of documents of European Programmes.
9.30 – 11.00   Innovation and cooperation of science and business in the context of the FE: Possibilities of cooperation, the need for cooperation, the scope of cooperation in the context of raising funds FE

The possibility of FE on selected targets business operations, planning and implementation of selected types of projects – define company aims and strategy of raising funds – planning scope of work in the area of ​​fundraising FE – Featured contests – how to prepare to raise funds.

Financial support for the development of selected economic activities within the Fe overview of current contests – overview of contests – to define project objectives in the context of business – general submission contests, competitions regulations, application forms.
